The Department of Shipping and Maritime Science (SMS) at Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) participated in the Bangladesh International Marine and Offshore Exhibition (BIMOX) 2026, held from 15–17 October 2026 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka.

Through its dedicated exhibition stall at Hall 04 (Stalls H4-18 and H4-19), the department showcased its academic programmes, educational opportunities, and commitment to advancing maritime education and professional development in Bangladesh.

The CUB stall attracted a diverse range of visitors, including maritime professionals, industry representatives, academicians, international delegates, students, and prospective students. The exhibition provided an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge, establishing professional connections, exploring potential collaborations, and highlighting the importance of maritime education in developing skilled human resources for the shipping, port, and offshore industries.

Participation in BIMOX Expo 2026 reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening industry–academia collaboration and contributing to the sustainable development of Bangladesh’s maritime sector. The event also offered valuable opportunities to engage with stakeholders, share academic perspectives, and promote the university’s role in maritime education and research.
