Short Biography
Md. Awlad Hossain is a Lecturer in Mathematics in the Department of General Education at the Canadian University of Bangladesh. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Applied Mathematics from the University of Dhaka. His M.Sc. research focused on patient-specific modelling of breast cancer and deep-learning-based inverse estimation of tumour thermophysical properties and was supported by the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship 2024–2025.
His research focuses on scientific machine learning, nonlinear dynamical systems, physics-informed learning, neural operators, reinforcement learning, inverse problems, and computational modelling. His research experience includes deep reinforcement operator learning for dynamic control, WRF-based atmospheric modelling, WRF–deep-learning-based lightning prediction in Bangladesh, computational fluid dynamics, environmental modelling, remote sensing, and computer vision.
He has contributed to research on physics-informed neural networks, neural-operator-based control, inverse parameter estimation, and numerical simulation of complex physical systems. His peer-reviewed research has been published in Physica A, PLOS ONE, and Springer conference proceedings.
