Ahtashamul Islam Nirjhor

Ahtashamul Islam Nirjhor is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Canadian University of  Bangladesh. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT),  with a major in Structural Engineering. 

Before joining academia, Ahtashamul worked as a Junior Engineer at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM),  focusing on hydraulic modeling, bridge site feasibility analyses, and GIS spatial data processing.  

His thesis evaluated the reuse of Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) as fine aggregate in concrete to promote  sustainable construction. His research interests include finite element modeling, structural dynamics, and sustainable  materials.
