We are immensely proud to share that the Canadian University of Bangladesh team secured the Runner-Up position at the 2nd Bangladesh Qualifying Rounds of the Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, held at the IUB campus from 5–7 February 2026.

The team, consisting of:

1.Asef Ibnul (1st Oralist),

2.Aarian Borno (2nd Oralist), and

3.Fair Islam Kheya (Researcher), demonstrated commendable advocacy, research excellence, dedication, and patience throughout a highly competitive process.

 Competing against 32 law schools from across the country, Team CUB advanced successfully through the Preliminary, Quarter-Final, and Semi-Final rounds to reach this achievement.

This accomplishment was made possible through the constant mentorship of their coach, Ms. Rubaya Islam, Lecturer, Department of Law, CUB. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Ms. Nazifa Muniyat Quader and all the faculty members for their valuable support and insights. Special appreciation goes to Muhammad Sunzad Sheikh, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department, whose continuous guidance and encouragement played a vital role in this journey.

This achievement reflects the collective effort of the team, and we remain grateful and proud of Team CUB for representing the university and CUBLMC with integrity and excellence. We hope that such team effort and dedication would be reflected in their future endeavours as well.
