
Classroom to Courtroom – Session on Career Planning in Advocacy by CUB Department of Law
This session, titled “Career Planning: Advocacy,” featured Barrister Abdullah Al Mahmud (Masud), Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and Deputy Attorney General of Bangladesh, as the distinguished guest speaker.
The program was hosted by Ms. Sumaiya Islam Mrittika, Lecturer in Law, and received valuable support from Barrister Mahbubur Rahman, Associate Professor, Department of Law, whose contribution was instrumental in organizing this successful event. The session was also graced by the presence of Assistant Professor Mohammad Sunzad Sheikh, Head of the Department of Law, Professor Dr. A S M Sirajul Haque, Dean, School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, and Treasurer of Canadian University of Bangladesh, Mr. A S M G Faruk, Registrar, Canadian University of Bangladesh and our honorable faculty members of Department of Law. 
Through an insightful discussion, students gained valuable knowledge about the path to advocacy, the skills required to build a strong legal career and the ethical values that define a successful lawyer. During the interactive Q&A session, they explored the realities of a lawyer’s professional life and reflected on the noble responsibilities of those who serve justice through advocacy. The event was both enlightening and inspiring, giving students a deeper understanding of the legal profession and motivating them to pursue their careers with passion and purpose.
